Vice-President Sebastian Hennecke leaves Bread&Butter

Published
Dec 13, 2012

Bread&Butter is certainly navigating troubled waters. Just a few weeks from the next edition of the Berlin trade show, organizers have confirmed that Vice-President Sebastian Hennecke will be leaving at the beginning of 2013.

Sebastian Hennecke

Much more than Vice-President, the young business man spent his career at the heart of the urban fashion trade show and was often considered by many to be founder Karl-Heinz Müller’s right-hand man. When the founder decided in 2010 to free up some time to rethink the positon of the trade show and to focus on his 14.OZ stores, Hennecke assumed his new position of Vice-President with ease.

His departure so close to the next edition of the show leads us to believe that there must internal factors contributing the the decision. Coincidentally, the announcement comes after the return of Danielle De Bie, former boss, as the show’s key spoke person. Perhaps Karl-Heinz Müller has chosen to place a ‘safe bet’ rather than go with youth…

Can we expect to see the return on founders and friends, Christian Geyr and Wolfgang Ahlers, who were the dream team behind the show’s success in Cologne and Berlin in the early 2000’s?
