​MAC launches athleisure make-up line

Looking to capitalize on the seemingly never-ending popularity of athleisure, MAC Cosmetics has launched a line of gym-ready beauty products. The “Work it Out” collection will include 39 different products, including mascaras, pencils, and fix sprays.

Each product has a quirky, work-out inspired name, like No Pain No Gain, a blue eyeshadow, or Hold for 10, a mascara name.

All of the products are inspired by the bold colors seen in eighties workout videos, like neon blues and bright pinks.
In the spirit of athleisure, all of the products are designed to stay on your face longer than most of MAC's product offerings.  The fashion press was quick to jump on the fact that although the products are geared to the athletic crowd, customers should still avoid wearing make-up while hitting the gym. 

While the majority of the products are just work-out ‘inspired’,  MAC has released a series of scented face mists specifically for using before and after a work out , like the MAC Prep + Prime Oils and MAC Fix, designed to refresh the face post-workout.

The collection will be available in MAC locations and online from March 2nd to April 13th.
