The 'Alliance 46.2' association is made up of some twenty companies linked to the tourist industry, and on 15th December it launched the "Paris We Love You" campaign. The campaign is broadcast on social media and aims to bolster Paris' appeal after the November attacks, exploiting the great sympathy that was spontaneously expressed the world over.

A large number of companies are already involved in the campaign, including Kering, Aéroports de Paris, CCI France and IDF, Clarins, Galeries Lafayette, L’Oréal and Vente-Privée. The organisers say that others will soon join the movement, notably mentioning the other major Parisian department store.

The campaign is designed to allow Parisians, the French people and foreigners to join the dedicated portal in just two clicks, thanks to social media. A network where their profile picture will join a mosaic of faces representing all those who support Paris. The faces will be featured on giant structures and progressively deployed in the French capital. There is also a counter, tracking the number of mentions for the #ParisWeLoveYou hashtag on social media.

Paris expects to host 100 million tourists by 2020. But the 13th November attacks have, among other things, caused Paris airports to record 123,000 fewer passengers from the second half of November, compared to the same period in 2014. Some 81% of Paris tourism professionals estimate they have suffered a decrease in business activity, with on average a 27% decline in traffic and a 24% decline in revenue.
