A tale of angst in Jil Sander's latest campaign

In the summer, Jil Sander will be going dark. While the runway show put together by Raf Simons for the Spring-Summer 2012 collection was fresh and bright, the campaign that follows is a bit more anxiety-inducing. One was able to catch a glimpse of Grace Kelly in the silhouettes of the current season, but here we are transported completely to a film by Alfred Hitchcock.

Shot by Willy Vanderperre, the campaign features the inimitable Natasha Poly, as well as Daria Strokous and the French Clement Chabernaud for the mens line. The fascinating cast of characters includes strange, sleepwalking, frightened young women. Between a staircase featuring the Star Spangled Banner, broken windows and disturbing shadows, the campaign is probably one of the most remarkable of the season.
