Advent International adds to retail and consumer team

Private equity firm, Advent International, has added Todd Lachman and Larry Bodner as two senior advisors to their team to specialize in consumer products.

Lachman and Bodner have been named to work with a particular emphasis on food, home, and personal care within Advent’s retail and consumer team.

“Todd and Larry’s combined expertise in the consumer sector and in managing complex global organizations will significantly enhance our ability to proactively source and execute on new investments in the consumer space,” said Jeff Case, a managing director at Advent. “We have known and admired Todd and Larry for some time and are excited they have agreed to partner with us.”

Previously, Lachman held executive positions at Mars, Del Monte Foods and H.J. Heinz.

He noted, “[t]he consumer products space is a dynamic and fragmented industry. I have spent my career in this sector and am excited to work with Advent, and reunite with Bill, to help identify attractive investment opportunities and create value in businesses by driving revenue and earnings growth.”

Bodner previously held executive positions, including CFO, at Big Heart Pet Brands and Del Monte Foods.

Advent has been investing in consumer products and retail industries for 25 years. Recent consumer investments include Serta Simmons Bedding, Party City and Partner in Pet Food.
