Amazon is offering Prime members over 100,000 deals for the second annual Prime Day, to be held on July 12, 2016.
Prime Day will feature nearly twice the amount of deals on TV's over Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined.
It is being billed as the biggest day of sales on "things you want, things you need, and everything in between."
Prime members in the U.S., U.K., Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, Belgium, and Austria will be able to take advantage of the sales which extend to virtually every Amazon product category.
Greg Greeley, Vice President of Amazon Prime announced, “Prime Day is a unique opportunity to discover new items and great deals, on top of our already low prices. Following last year’s record sales, we have dramatically increased the inventory behind many deals. In fact, in the U.S. we have nearly double the TV units compared to Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined."
Top product categories in the U.S. for last year's Prime Day included toys, mobile device cases and pet products like toys, food and treats.
Greeley pointed out that “Even with this massive selection we know many of the Prime Day offers will sell out, so members should download the Amazon shopping app to receive notifications on their favorite deals.”
New deals will appear every 5 minutes starting at midnight on July 12. Amazon will be gearing Prime consumers up by offering special "countdown deals" July 5 through July 11.
In addition to deals, there will be chances to win Prime Music Experiences with bands including Blink-182 and Nora Jones, as well as Kindle and Amazon Photos sweepstakes.
