Apparel Textile Sourcing to expand Miami show after $2 million investment

Published

Apparel Textile Sourcing has announced it will return to Miami, Florida in 2019 for its ATS Miami show. The event is set to be twice the size of the company's last Miami convention, and has received $2 million in investment money from JP Communications, Inc. and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile and Apparel (CCCT).

The show will be produced by JP Communications and is set to take place from May 20 through May 22 at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center.

In a press release, the company said the event will "host more than 300 international and domestic manufacturing companies."

“The Apparel Textile Sourcing Miami Show will bring a large number of domestic and international industry decision makers to our community,” said Manny Mencia, senior vice president of international trade and development for Enterprise Florida. “The apparel sector remains very important to Florida’s international economy. In 2017, nearly $8 billion in apparel trade flowed through Florida ports and airports."

The company and its sponsors also anticipate that the show will facilitate partnerships between domestic and foreign textile businesses.

“These are all highly successful, leading apparel brands in China, looking for U.S. partners to represent them in America and help grow their brands globally,” said CCCT chairman Cao Jiachang. The CCCT bills itself as the largest textile and apparel trade agency in both China and the world.

Additional international partners of the convention include Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers Exporters Association, and the Investment Promotion Organization of El Salvador, among others.

The largest apparel and textile sourcing show in the southern United States and Latin America, featured events at ATS Miami will include seminars, fashion shows, and "matchmaking sessions" between buyers and sellers.

The Apparel Textile Sourcing Miami Show is free for attendees who pre-register on the event's website.
