Arc’teryx opens its first European flagship in London

Arc-teryx, the Vancouver-based outdoor performance apparel and equipment brand, announced the opening of its European flagship store at 212 Piccadilly in London. The new flagship marks the beginning of the brand’s expansion this year to key international cities.

The 4,000-square-foot, two-floor store showcases the brand’s high performance outdoor clothing, snow sports apparel, footwear, harnesses and packs. The store also features interactive displays that allow customers to experience Arc’teryx’s product craftsmanship, design and performance, and it features a Community Zone with British Mountain Guides that help alpinists plan routes, study maps and record their latest summits and adventures.

Adam David Ketcheson, VP/ Senior Director Marketing and B2C Arc’teryx said: “London has an active community who deal with the challenges of inclement weather. It’s also a hub of fashion and design, and the minimalist aesthetic of Arc’teryx fits perfectly into the London environment and the UK outdoor community at large. At our Piccadilly store, our customers will be able to experience our commitment to design, craftsmanship and performance through our product, technologies and people."

While a spokesperson for the brand said: "Arc'teryx is the technical leader in the outdoor world, and the fact they have chosen London over any European outdoor city is indicative of the growth of the UK, and the London outdoor & active market especially."

The Piccadilly flagship store will open on September 5th, and it will join 9 other Arc’teryx stores including Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Washington DC, Tokyo, Shanghai and Seoul. Arc’teryx is part of the Amer Sports Group with Solomon, Wilson, Atomic, Mavic, Suunto and Precor.
