Besides designers, other Canadian fashion influencers including models, bloggers, and stylists were nominated in several other CAFA categories, for a total of 17 award categories.

Also new, CAFA announced the introduction of The Suzanne Rogers Designer Grant for International Development, a $20,000 grant which will be presented to a Canadian fashion designer or brand that is poised to expand their business internationally.

"As a fervent advocate for Canadian fashion, I wanted to help make a difference and support designers with this grant, enabling them to pursue exciting new opportunities, fuel their professional development and amplify their business acumen,” said Rogers. "I am very proud to support CAFA and Canada's richly, diversely talented spectrum of designers as they continue to make an impact nationally and worldwide.”

Additionally, CAFA unveiled that international footwear and accessories retailer, The Aldo Group, founded by Canadian businessman, Aldo Bensadoun, will be receiving the 2018 Outstanding Achievement Award.

Award winners will be announced at the red carpet gala, taking place on April 20th, 2018, at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.
