Gap-owned brand Banana Republic will team up with L'Wren Scott for a holiday collection due to hit store in early December. The limited-edition capsule collection marks the designers first partnership with a global fashion retailer.

"A partnership of this scale was a first for me, and I was very excited to find a true partner in Simon (Kneen, creative director at Banana Republic)," says L'Wren Scott, founder and designer of her namesake label.

"L'Wren really understands what a woman loves and wants to wear. Her knack for bringing imaginative versatility and femininity to classic design is something that immediately brought us together as creatives," says Banana Republic creative director and executive vice president of design, Simon Kneen. "We share an appreciation for genuine luxury, beautiful fabrics and unexpected details. The designs created for this collection bring a modern approach to pieces you will love forever."

The more than 50-piece collection includes apparel and accessories for women, ranging from sequin party dresses and bejewelled cardigans, to feminine, tailored jeans, lace dresses and pencil skirts.

A division of San Francisco-based Gap Inc, Banana Republic has in over 650 company-operated and franchise retail locations across the world including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Italy, France, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
