The store is located in the Valley Mall and features a renewed suite of customer services, including a “buy online, pick up in store” option, a full-service fine jewelry department and self-service layouts for shoes and beauty.

The new location is the southern retail chain’s 292nd and brings 110 jobs to the area. Like the company’s other stores, the Hagerstown location carries apparel, footwear and accessories from a range of national brands and private labels, as well as cosmetics and homeware.

“For 130 years, a spirit of giving and warmth has inspired us to lift up others and positioned Belk as the go-to shopping destination for our shoppers and their families,” said Belk CEO Lisa Harper in a release. “Whether you live in Evans, Georgia, Dallas, Texas or Hagerstown, Maryland, we want you to know we are invested in your town and your neighbors.”

Belk has also made a $25,000 donation to local non-profit Micah’s Backpack, which provides food assistance for children from low-income families, as part of the Belk: Project Hometown program, a $15-million commitment to supporting southern communities over a period of five years.

The new Hagerstown Belk location at Valley Mall is now open. The store will be hosting a Fall Festival on October 20th, with bounce houses, pumpkin painting and other activations.
