Bergans of Norway: Leif Holst-Liæker named CEO

Leif Holst-Liæker has been named CEO of Bergans of Norway. Over the last four months, the Norwegian outdoor brand was looking for a successor to Ragnar Jensen, who retired this year.

Having served "at the head of a multi-industry company and with experience at an outdoor brand," Leif Holst-Liæker stood out as a candidate.

Since March 2014, he served as CEO of the holding company Bertel O. Steen, a Norwegian multi-industry company dealing in consumer goods, real estate, distribution and farm equipment. Between 2007 and 2010, Holst-Liæker was in charge of the company’s strategy and development. 

From 2010 to 2014, he served as CEO of the footwear brand Viking, specializing in outdoor products. 

He has also previously worked at the consulting firms AT Kearney and McKinsey.
