Billy Reid has expanded his product offering with the launch of his first sun and optical eyewear collection.
The new eyewear collection, which launches on November 1 at all 13 Billy Reid stores nationwide and online, are named after the people close to Billy and the CFDA Award winning designer himself. Styles such as the Jeanne, named after Billy’s wife, the Mattie, named after Billy’s oldest daughter and the William, named after Billy himself, feature materials such as Japanese horn and details like leather-wrapped temples, metal inlays, custom titanium nose pads and temple tips, and the signature Billy Reid heirloom ribbon stripe.
"I've worn glasses since I was twenty years old and I've wanted to design my own for almost as long," said Billy reid. "Glasses are part of my personal identity and that of so many of our customers, so it was a natural extension for us to launch our own eyewear collection."
To support the launch, Billy Reid tapped photographer Christian MacDonald to shoot the collection in and around the brand’s Bond Street store in New York City with models Drake Burnette and Miles Garber.
The Billy Reid sun and optical collection ranges in price from $295 to $995, and the full collection will debut on February 1.
