Boden adds Daniel W. Fletcher and Margo to Future British programme

Published

Designer Daniel W. Fletcher and womenswear brand Margo are joining Boden’s Future British programme, which aims to nurture emerging talent through seasonal financial support and mentoring sessions.

Daniel W. Fletcher is the first menswear recipient of the Future British award

Fletcher is the first menswear designer to receive the award. The Central Saint Martins graduate launched his namesake brand in 2015 and established himself quickly as one to watch for his socially and politically charged collections. He was nominated for the the prestigious LVMH prize earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Margo is a womenswear brand founded by Charlotte Good and Bronwen Marshall in 2016. Their modern take on femininity combines the seemingly opposing approaches of minimalism and opulence, delivering clothing for women who want to be comfortable without compromising on self-expression. Bold textures, vivid hues and effortless silhouettes are integral to the brand’s aesthetic.

Fletcher and Margo will join Alighieri, Loxley England and Dorateymur, who are currently taking part in the programme. Boden’s Future British guides designers over a 12-month period, offering mentoring, financial support and practical industry advice to grow their businesses.

Recipients also gain access to the brand’s leadership team and are awarded additional support from the British Fashion Council.

“The mentoring that the Boden senior team provide these emerging brands is incredibly hands-on, and we always hear such strong feedback from participating designers. This is an incredibly impactful initiative and the strength of its previous recipients is testament to that,” said Caroline Rush, chief executive of the BFC.

Previous recipients of Future British include Bruta, Blake LDN, Le Kilt, Camilla Elphick and Caitlin Charles-Jones.
