Burlington, a division of the International Textile Group, and Thread International have joined forces to develop socio- and eco-conscious fabric innovations at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Show through Thread’s Ground to Good program.

The mission of the partnership is to make fabrics that look and feel great, but also provide opportunities for people in low-income countries while cleaning up the environment.

"Working to stimulate change in third world communities has become an exciting opportunity for all of us at Burlington," states Jeff Peck, Burlington President. "One we know that will have a lasting impact on many lives as it provides jobs and offers a high quality upcycled fabric for consumers that is environmentally and socially responsible."

Thread’s Ground to Good program develops innovative fabrics from plastic waste from the landfills, canals and streets of Haiti and Honduras. Burlington’s commitment to the reduction of manufacturing’s impact on the environment has led them to its partnership with Thread.

The Outdoor Retailer Summer Show will take place in Salt Lake City from August 5-8.
