Burlington makes three senior leadership promotions

Burlington Stores announced on Friday three senior leadership promotions all effective on January 30, 2017. Jennifer Vecchio, Burlington Executive Vice President/Chief Merchandising Officer, will be promoted to the newly created position of Chief Merchandising Officer/Principal, EVP, Chief Financial Officer Marc Katz will be named Chief Financial Officer/Principal, and Fred Hand will be promoted to the new role of Chief Customer Officer/Principal.



 
Vecchio joined Burlington as EVP/Chief Merchandising Officer in May 2015 from Ross Stores where she held numerous executive positions from 1997 to 2011. She also worked at Macy’s as a Buyer and a VP of Men’s Collections and Contemporary Denim. In her new role of Chief Merchandising Officer/Principal, Vecchio will assume responsibility for the Merchandise Planning, Allocation and MIO functions.
 
Katz held several roles at Burlington since he joined the company in July 2008 including EVP, Merchandising Support and Information Technology, EVP of Merchandise Planning and Allocation and EVP and Chief Accounting Officer. In the newly expanded role of CFO/Principal, Katz will continue to oversee the Information Technology group and be responsible for the supply chain, procurement, corporate services and asset protection functions.

Finally, Hand, who has served as Chief Customer Officer/Principal since 2008, will continue to oversee store operations, real estate and store design/construction, and he will assume responsibility for marketing, strategy and e-commerce. Hand joined Burlington in 2008 after working at Macy’s, Filene’s Dept. Stores and Foleys.
 
All three executives will continue to report to Burlington President and CEO Thomas A. Kingsbury.
