Canadian designers are getting together to launch a pop-up shop this weekend in Toronto’s trendy Queen West district.

The pop-up baptized 'Canadian Apparel' will ironically set up shop in a former American Apparel store location at 499 Queen Street West and will be dedicated to made-in-Canada clothing.

A slew of American Apparel stores across the country have been vacant since the retailer closed up shop earlier this month.

The pop-up will feature the work of 10 Toronto designers: Onemeth Goods, Faded Lifestyle, The Feral, Get Fresh Company, Muttonhead, Sid Neigum, Krane, Andrew Coimbra, Chse and Outclass. The pop-up will include an array womenswear, menswear, accessories and children’s clothing.

The pop-up was organized by Jonathan Shimoni of Faded Lifestyle and Amin Todai of OneMeth. It will run February 24 and 25, from 12 to 8 pm, and February 26 from 12 to 6 pm.
