Canadian creatives come together for Adidas Originals' Deerupt campaign

For the launch of Adidas Originals' newly-released Deerupt silhouette, the athletic wear giant has enlisted Canadian creatives for a new campaign.

In the fashion-forward lookbook, musicians and fashion influencers from Vancouver, Toronto as well as Montreal are captured rocking the new Deerupt sneaker against an intricate backdrop.

Among the Canadian creatives, musicians Ralph, High Klassified, and Ebhoni are found flaunting the sneaker style in their own unique way, along with model Adryan Hanson; actor Lamar Johnson; and fashion influencers Cassie Masangkay, Ricci Pamintuan and Vanessa Cesario.

The new sneaker design offers a contemporary take on an Adidas heritage piece that is characterized by its grid design, which was initially featured in Adidas running silhouettes in the 80s, once a key feature on the New York runner and Marathon Training shoe.

For its modern debut, the grid design has been stretched to envelope the entirety of the new Deerupt silhouette. Furthermore, the shoe design has been injected with an eclectic color scheme.

"Inspired equally by urban planning, architecture, and natural phenomena, Deerupt holds the grid as its central design principle," said the company, in a news statement. "When warped to exaggerated proportions and injected with electric color, the grid is transformed into a bold visual motif for today."

The exclusive lookbook can be found at Adidas Originals Neighbourhood stores in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto.

Meanwhile, the Deerupt is now officially available for purchase worldwide online and in-store at Adidas Originals locations.
