Canoos expands distribution and launches on Amazon

Golf brand Canoos is the latest company to expand its distribution and begin listing its product directly on Amazon.
Canoos is based in New England and manufactures golf lifestyle product as well as a patented golf shoe that looks like a boat shoe. It launched in 2014 and has sold through specialty retailers such as golf pro shops. It also has its own direct to consumer business where it sells men's and women's shoes, golf accessories and two tops through its own e-commerce site.
Following in Nike's recent footsteps, Canoos made the decision recently to list its product directly on Amazon.
Josh Hannum, co-founder of Canoos, said, "We're very proud of all of our pro shop partnerships and our direct e-commerce business, and to see the product now available on Amazon is another great testament to the growth of the brand."
From a volume standpoint, Amazon promises to continue to grow Canoos. Amazon is the largest retailer in the US and has the largest total sales and market cap of an internet-based retailer globally. Last year Amazon's revenues were over $135 billion.
Canoos Brand Manager Will Bacas noted how the brand has been gaining momentum. He said in the past month the brand received a patent for its golf boat shoe and also executed a successful partnership with the USGA and Team USA for the Walker Cup.
Canoos shoes range from $95 to $240. The brand also sells a $94 golf polo and a $55 pullover unisex hoody suitable for the New England golf lifestyle of going to "a yacht" after a round.
