Capsule Show and Merchant Factors are offering a scholarship for emerging designers.

Capsule Show

Contemporary women’s fashion, accessories or footwear designers have an opportunity to win a scholarship to the upcoming SS17 Capsule Women’s show in New York City. Designers who have been in business for at least 2 years with annual sales of under $250,000 are invited to apply for the free booth space. The Capsule team and a panel of industry insiders will select the winner in June.

"Merchant Factors is once again proud to work in conjunction Capsule to sponsor an emerging brand for the SS17 show. We hope that this show’s scholarship winner has as much success as the prior scholarship winners. It is our continued goal to help these individuals and companies seize every opportunity so that their talent is showcased to the industry," says Joshua Goodhart Executive Vice President & National Sales Manager, Merchant Factors.

Founded in 1985, Merchant Factors has been dedicated to working with emerging talent through fostering their growth. The company has provided factoring and financing for over 700 companies, including start-up companies and noteworthy brands in the fashion and apparel industries. Merchant Factors expanded on its vision by providing designers a free space at Capsule in addition to mentorship.

Capsule and Merchant Factors first teamed up to find ways to nurture independent designers. The two companies partnered together for the FW16 show as well.

Designers can find info on how to apply on the Capsule Show website, We Are The Market, and they must apply by May 25, 2016. Capsule New York Women’s will run from September 17 through 19.
