Champs Sports to open first Chicago flagship store in July

Champs Sports announced this week the opening of its Chicago State Street Store, the first Champs retail location in Chicago.

 
The new store, which will open in July at the former Amalgamated Bank headquarters building, is the first Champs retail space to feature experimental elements. The two-level store will house women’s, men’s, and kids' products and a hat lounge on the first floor, as well as an activation space and brand shop on the second floor.
 
Crain’s reported that Champs’ 16,037-square-foot, two-level flagship store will share its space with WeWork, and will join Foot Locker’s Footaction and Jordan concept store at 32 South State Street.

Champs Sports is one of the members of the Foot Locker family, alongside Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Footaction, and Eastbay.com, among others. The company currently operates 550 Champs Sports stores in the US, Puerto Rico and Canada.
