Chic Shanghai apparel sourcing show to feature 1,210 exhibitors in March

Chic Shanghai, China's major fashion and apparel sourcing event, will be staged at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center from 15th to to 17th March. The 117,000 m2 show area will host 1,210 exhibitors from 21 countries.

Chic Shanghai will be held in parallel with the other two leading Chinese textile/apparel trade shows, Intertextile and Yarn Expo. As usual, its exhibitors will be split among different thematic sections: Impulses, Heritage, Superior Factory, Future Link, Fashion Journey, Kid’s Paradise, Urban View, Secret Stars, Shanghai Bag and New Look, with the addition of three 'show-in-show' events: Chic-Young Blood, PH Value, Preview in China.

While the majority of exhibitors comes from host country China, more than 300 international brands and manufacturers are travelling to Shanghai too. Europe will be represented by a French section called 'Paris For Ever' and by exhibitors from Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, Spain, Switzerland, Greece and Turkey. Besides neighbours South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan, other countries represented include India, the USA, Canada, Brazil and Peru.

Once again, the event will be enlivened by catwalk shows, with fifteen of them scheduled for this edition, and will also host the first China International Healthy T-shirt Summit. Among the various conference topics, there will be the latest report by trend forecasting company WGSN.

Chic Shanghai's last October edition, traditionally less busy than the March one, featured 783 exhibitors and welcomed 65,700 visitors. In March 2017, the show brought together nearly 104,600 international industry professionals.
