Columbia is condemning the actions of its competitor W.L. Gore & Associates, better known for its flagship brands Gore-Tex and Windstopper.

The group, together with its Italian Subsidiary OutDry Technologies, has just approached the European Union Commission with a complaint against Gore & Associates’s alleged abuse of its dominant position. Columbia’s press release states that “W. L. Gore & Associates has violated European Union competition laws by abusing its dominant position in the market for waterproof breathable membranes for footwear and gloves”.
