Delta Apparel said it has bought a majority of assets in clothing brand Coast Apparel, which offers a full line of traditional; sports and casual attire; and also headwear and accessories. Apart from being sold through independent retailers, Coast Apparel is also sold through two company owned retail stores and also an ecommerce website.

“Our recent experience and success in nurturing and growing other young brands and start-up businesses, particularly Salt Life and Art Gun, have proven the benefits of early-stage investment in high-growth potential brands and business extensions,” Delta Apparel CEO Robert Humphreys said.

“We plan to immediately add more Coast retail stores and build consumer awareness through enhanced digital outreach, positioning Delta Apparel for even faster ecommerce and direct-to-consumer growth,” he added. (
