Dsquared2 partners with Be Cool Be Nice on anti-bullying campaign

The Canadian design duo teamed up with the anti-bullying organization Be Cool Be Nice on a capsule collection to fight bullying towards young adults and kids online. A portion of the proceeds from the collection will go to the foundation.

Dsquared2’s collection for Be Cool Be Nice includes t-shirts, hats, jeans, sandals and sneakers emblazoned with both the name of the Canadian brand and the foundation. The capsule collection will be launch at the end of the November and will be available at select Dsquared2 stores.

The brand’s founders and creative directors Dean and Dan Caten say they wanted to collaborate with the organization as they themselves experienced bullying as kids. The collection is intended to help its wearers convey confidence and a positive attitude.

Be Cool Be Nice uses social media and celebrity spokespeople to combat cyberbullying of children and teenagers. The organization has teamed up with the likes of Kendall Jenner and Willow Smith on campaigns.

Dsquared2 recently saw the exit of its CEO Gianfranco Maccarrone after 20 years. The Canadian brand, which typically shows its collections during Milan Fashion Week, has yet to name a successor. Neither Maccarrone nor Dsquared2 offered an explanation for the sudden departure.
