Edun appoints Labat CEO

Irish fashion brand Edun, which was founded by Ali Hewson and singer Bono, has tapped Julien Labat to be its new CEO. Labat most recently worked at French fashion brand Carven as Commercial Director.

At Edun he replaces Janice Sullivan, who joined the company after LVMH's investment in 2009 but is leaving to pursue other business interests.

LVMH Managing Director and representative on the Edun Board Toni Belloni said: "We are thrilled to have Julien Labat joining us at Edun. His experience in the industry will be valuable to Edun as we grow the business as well as its African infrastructure and community programs."

Edun founder Ali Hewson said she and Bono are impressed by Labat's "experience and creativity within the women's market."
