Emily Ratajkowski designs bag for the Kooples

Published

The model and actress has designed a new bag for the French fashion house. Ratajkowski previously starred in the brand’s Fall 2017 campaign.

After acting as inspiration for The Kooples’ Fall 2017 collection, Emily Ratajkowski was asked to create her own purse for the French label. The resulting The Emily by The Kooples bag comes in three sizes, ranging in prices from $375 for the small to $495 for the large.

Ratajkowski says the leather bag was inspired by a mix of bags in her collection, with both practical and stylish elements. The bag includes an adjustable strap and accordion-style compartments on the inside.

This is not The Kooples’ first high-profile collaboration of the year. The French brand also created a limited edition sneaker with Puma in April. This year the Paris-based brand also switched to offering monthly rather than seasonal collections. The Kooples was launched in 2008 and now has 450 stores in 36 countries.

Earlier this year, Ratajkowski also starred in the latest lingerie campaign for DKNY. She also landed her first swimwear campaign last year, appearing in the 2016/2017 ad for Australian brand Amore & Sorvete. This is the first time she has collaborated with a designer.
