Eponym adds Urban Outfitters CEO Trish Donnelly to board of directors

Eyewear platform Eponym announced on Monday that Urban Outfitters CEO Trish Donnelly has joined its board of directors.

 
Donnelly was named CEO of Urban Outfitters in March after serving two years as president of North America in the company. Before joining Urban Outfitters, she served as president of Steven Alan, executive vice president of J. Crew Direct and held numerous merchandising roles at Ralph Lauren.
 
“Trish Donnelly’s leadership in re-establishing Urban Outfitters as a premiere destination for young adults, has reinforced her reputation as one of the retail industry's most gifted leaders” said Andrew Lipovsky, founder and CEO of Eponym. “We are thrilled to have Trish join eponym’s board of directors. She shares our vision for transforming the eyewear industry and her experience and expertise will be a tremendous asset as the company continues to grow.

Founded in 2010, Eponym is a platform that designs and distributes eyewear for brands direct to consumers. The company’s licensing deal offers partners a greater share of profits while managing all product fulfillment, customer service, and CRM, and investing in advertising.
 
Eponym’s portfolio includes Alice + Olivia, Jason Wu, Classic Specs, Ottavo and Steven Alan, which doubled its eyewear sales each year since partnering with Eponym in 2013. The retailer operates three Steven Alan Optical shops and plans to open five to ten in the next five years.
