Estée Lauder acquires By Kilian

Estée Lauder has energised its portfolio of high perfumery brands. After the recent acquisitions of Frédéric Malle and Le Labo, the US group has gained control of By Kilian, the label founded in 2007 by Kilian Hennessy, the grandson of one of the LVMH group's founders. The value of the transaction was not revealed.

By Kilian's range is available for sale in about forty countries, chiefly in North America, Europe and the Middle East, and features fragrances, scented candles and perfumed jewellery. The labels operates stores in Paris, New York, Moscow, London, Lugano (Switzerland) and Doha.

"Estée Lauder understands By Kilian's philosophy of handing back to perfumery the sophisticated reputation it enjoyed at the start of the XXth century. The group is also endowed with the resources to help By Kilian continue to grow strategically across categories, regions and distribution channels," explained Kilian Hennessy.
