Etsy: Made in Canada returns Sept. 24

The third annual Etsy: Made in Canada is returning on Saturday, September 24.

Pop-up marketplaces focused on selling items from local artisans’ will turn up across the country in 38 different communities including in major cities like Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, Winnipeg, Halifax and more.

“Each pop-up is led by Etsy Team Captains who spend the year planning to bring together the community and celebrate local talent,” says Erin Green, Managing Director of Etsy Canada, in a news statement. “They embody the Etsy: Made in Canada mission to inspire positive impact for better communities, and it’s their passion that will encourage the growth of the next generation of artisans.”

Each marketplace will feature a series of vendors that proudly represent their city and offer a glimpse into the community’s unique personality. Shoppers can expect to find items such as jewellery, home décor, original art and a series of fashion garments and accessories.

Last year, nearly 2000 Etsy sellers participated in Etsy: Made in Canada markets across Canada.

Etsy was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York.
