FT Luxury Summit: dates and theme announced

Published
Nov 24, 2011

The Financial Times has announced that it will organise the 8th edition of FT Business of Luxury Summit in Marrackech, Morocco from May 31 - June 1 (Welcome reception on May 30). Plenary sessions will revolve around the theme The Lifestyle Revolution. Speakers confirmed this year include CEO of PPR, François Pinault.

The programme will explore the increased intermingling of luxury and lifestyle: What are the risks and rewards associated with a traditional luxury brand expanding its offering to include furniture, home wares, food, hotels, apartment houses and other experiences (and vice versa)? What are the forces driving the evolution and the costs, both material and in terms of brand equity, involved?

Other key speakers include Ferrari SpA Chairman, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo; Tory Burch; Moncler CEO, Remo Ruffini; Chairman and Creative Director, AERIN; Style and Image Director, Estée Lauder, Aerin Lauder.

2011 edition took place in Lausanne, Switzerland under the theme "What Price Luxury ?".
