Foot Locker and Asics launch running campaign

Foot Locker on Wednesday announced that it is partnering with ASICS to launch its "Real Lives. Real Runners" campaign before the 2015 TCS New York City Marathon.

The companies are building on their successful "All Runners Welcome" campaign from 2014 with this new initiative that invites filmmakers to document authentic runners in a short film on why they run and how running has impacted their lives. The winning film will air nationally during the television broadcast of the 2015 TCS New York City Marathon, and the winning filmmaker will receive a cash prize from MOFILM, the leading content creation community, and an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles for the MOFILM Awards.
 
Foot Locker and ASICS will choose five finalists out of the submitted three-minute pieces, which will be shortened to 30 seconds and 60 seconds to air on Foot Locker’s YouTube page and on its social media throughout the month of October. The creators of the three most-watched teasers will be invited for an exclusive screening event where the companies will announce the winner.

Foot Locker is one of the official sponsors for the TCS New York City Marathon Five Borough Challenge, and will host the 37th Annual Foot Locker Cross Country Championships this fall. ASICS announced a special capsule collection for the Marathon that will feature NYC-inspired graffiti designs on its innovative GEL-Quantum 360 shoe.
