Former Tefron CEO Shimon rejoins Delta Galil

Delta Galil on Wednesday announced that Gil Shimon has joined the company as President of the Global Upper Market business segment. The segment is responsible for $270 million.

 
Shimon, who previously served as Tefron CEO, will rejoin Delta this February after working with the company from 1992 to 2011. While at the company, he increased Delta’s business turnover and promoted advances in production, marketing and corporate development. The last four years of his first tenure were spent as Manager of the Socks and Seamfree business units.
 
Delta Galil in 2016 acquired the 7 For All Mankind, Splendid and Ella Moss brands from VF Corporation, and hired former American Apparel CEO Paula Schneider as CEO of DG Premium Brands overseeing the newly acquired brands.

The acquisition contributed $28.9 million to the company in the third quarter of Delta Galil’s fiscal year.
