Gant: departure of Creative Director Christopher Bastin

Gant plans on becoming the n°1 lifestyle brand, we wrote in FashionMag on 3 September. But it appears that this goal is to be achieved without Christopher Bastin, its Creative Director, who is leaving the originally Swedish company.

Bastin is indeed leaving the American casual brand owned by the Maus group. He joined it in 2005 as Creative Director for Gant Rugger and in 2012 he was nominated to head the entire creative direction of Gant.

It's true that there are a lot of things currently changing at Gant under the wings of its recently nominated CEO, Patrik Nilsson. In particular the desire to promote an American East Coast spirit, where the brand first came to light. To the point of looking to change its Creative Director.
