The exhibition will display a selection of Ferré’s 27 white shirts that he has created throughout his 24-year career. In addition, sketches, technical designs, photographs, and videos from the Gianfranco Ferré Foundation will give viewers a look at the designer’s methods and techniques that went into his designs.

Known as the “architect of fashion,” Ferré is an Italian fashion designer and a graduate of Milan Polytechnic Institute. He launched his own women’s ready-to-wear label in 1978, followed by a men’s collection, accessories and an Alta Moda line in Rome. Ferré was appointed Artistic Director of Christian Dior in 1989, where he remained through 1997.

The 'White Shirt According to Me. Gianfranco Ferré' exhibition will remain from November 4, 2015 to March 6, 2016. The exhibition is designed, produced and curated by the Gianfranco Ferré Foundation and the Prato Textile Museum Foundation.
