Giant Tiger relaunches menswear

Canadian discount retailer Giant Tiger has announced the relaunch of its four private menswear labels Mountain Ridge, Rivet61, ACX Active and Tradesmax Pro.

Thomas Haig, President and COO, Giant Tiger Stores Limited explained that adding men's private label back in Giant Tiger's assortment is part of an overall soft goods strategy that started with women's and then children's over a year ago.

Haig said "our customers responded [favorably.] Relaunching the shopping experience for men is a continuation of our retail story."

Each of the four brands has a distinct style and positioning designed for Canadian men. Mountain Ridge is a casual fleece line offering fleece lined jackets or "shackets". ACX Active is an athleisure brand that already offers women's and children's assortments.

Tradesmax Pro is a workwear line that is CSA (Canadian Standards Authority) certified for safety and durability in heavy duty industrial work. Rivet61 is a new brand for Giant Tiger focused on urban style. It draws its looks from military and moto inspiration. Key pieces include stretch twill joggers and printed henley tees.

Giant Tiger is Canada's largest discount store. It offers apparel, household goods and groceries for discounted prices. It is Canadian owned and has a store network of over 235 locations and 8,000 employess across Canada.
