The Salon Art + Design will hold its annual fair at The Park Avenue Armory in New York City in November. The show hosts the finest galleries in historical, modern and contemporary art and design that dates back to the 18th century.
Visitors, this year, will find 55 galleries featuring the works of French cabinetmakers, English Arts and Crafts, Art Deco, Mid Century Modern and today’s up-and-coming designers. Also special to this year will be special exhibitions from Goyard, Ferrari and Temple St. Clair.
Temple St. Clair will debut the second chapter of its Golden Menagerie trilogy, Wings of Desire at The Salon Art + Design. The fine jewelry company debuted its nine-piece Haute Couture, Mythical Creatures from the Golden Menagerie collection at the Salon in November 2014.
The Goyard exhibition will be an exclusive installation of pieces commissioned by Coco Chanel and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor from the Goyard Heritage Collection. The installation will be a portrait gallery highlighting the company’s clientele, which includes Pablo Picasso, Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Russia, Marilyn Monroe, Karl Lagerfeld, Edith Piaf, Estee Lauder, Jeanne Lanvin and others.
The third of the special exhibitions is a showcase of the California T by Ferrari, the official automotive sponsor for the event. The Italian luxury sports car manufacturer invites attendees to experience its iconic car model that dates back to the 1950s.
The Salon Art + Design fair will be held from Friday, November 13 to Monday, November 16. General admission tickets are $25 at the door, $22 online and $10 for students with valid ID.
