Gsus names former Scotch & Soda head its CEO

Early this year, Gsus discreetly altered its name... and most importantly its management. The Dutch brand, which was acquired by Varova Fashion Group in 2010, has added "Amsterdam" as a subtitle to "Gsus sindustries".

It has also named Jop Pollmann its new CEO. Pollmann spent the last seven years as head of Scotch & Soda, initially as COO and later as CEO. He left Scotch & Soda in September, replaced by Dirk-Jan Stoppelenburg, the former head of Gant. 

Besides Pollmann, Gsus has made additional changes to its organizational structure. Ernst Hiemstra, who was e-commerce manager at Scotch & Soda between 2010 and 2013, joined the brand in December. Pim Mulder, meanwhile, has been promoted to retail manager. 

The brand has a retail presence in Benelux, Germany, France (via Xavier Le Roux, sales manager France, and Showroom 8), Canada, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Australia and Austria.
