From August 16th through October 1st, customers can donate their old denim at 160 Guess stores nationwide. Guess in turn will send that denim to the Blue Jeans Go Green program that recycles denim into a new product called Ultra Touch Denim Insulation.

In exchange for their donation, consumers will receive a keychain with a 30% off coupon for a purchase of new denim.

Ultra Touch Denim Insulation is used by various organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity for communities in need.

Since the start of the Blue Jeans Go Green program, over 1 million pieces of denim have been donated and recycled. Doing so has diverted over 600 million tons of waste to landfills.

"Guess' partnership with Cotton Incorporated's Blue Jeans Go Green program is a representation of what our brand believes in, which is preserving the environment and protecting its future," says Victor Herrero, Chief Executive Officer of Guess?, Inc.

Herrero continued, "Guess' Fall Denim Recycling Program will provide our customers and the community with the resources to make a positive change. By understanding and prioritizing our social and environmental impacts, we will create a stronger brand that will continue to be a worldwide leader, shaping the fashion industry."

Andrea Samber, Co-Director of Strategic Alliances at Cotton Incorporated said of the program, "[Guess consumers] will not only be supporting their favorite store, but also helping the environment and giving back to their communities."

Guess will be promoting the partnership in store with retail branding as well as on social media channels.
