Just in time for the official start of summer, H&M launched its first-ever 4th of July collection on June 22, which includes patriotic American flag-themed apparel, as well as specific pieces that celebrate girl power and unity.

The female-friendly wares include a T-shirt, tank and a sweatshirt showcasing the messages “You Go Girl,” "Brave Girls Club" and “Girls Support Each Other.” On that note, H&M is donating $1 to Girl Up—a foundation that empowers young women and embraces equality— on purchases made worldwide from June 22 through July 4. Stateside, the discount retailer will be taking direct donations as well. Many other brands have also tapped into the woman power market, such A.L.C.’s “The Woman” T-Shirt and Oeuf's "Feminist" crown-like hat.

The empowerment of women and girls has always been a part of H&M’s mantra, as is the retailer’s relationship with Girl Up. A release from the company stated that around 76% of the employees are women.
