Harvard Business School and MIT hosted their annual charity fashion show on October 21 at Boston Park Plaza hotel in support of Cradles to Crayons.

Students from Harvard’s Retail and Luxury Goods Club and MIT’s Sloan Business School of Retail, CPG and Luxury Club chose fellow students to model outfits from brand sponsors, Rent The Runway, Blank Space, Outdoor Voices, and Joanna August. Each brand provided tailored suits, athletic wear, designer clothing and bridal garments. Luxury watch company, Baume & Mercier also sponsored the show.

Two students took the opportunity to showcase their brand. Alex Mahylis, a first-year student of Harvard Business School, and his partner, Eric Li showed their men’s shirting brand, Topology. The brand offers slim cut indigo shirts made of fabrics sourced from Japan.

In addition to the runway show, Harvard and MIT hosted a charity drive at Spangler Grille. The drive preceded the show and allowed for Harvard Business School students to purchase hats and gloves to be donated to Cradles to Crayons. All proceeds from the charity fashion event went to the Boston chapter of Cradles to Crayons, a charity that provides essential items for children from birth to age 12 free of charge.
