Henkel opens Professional Hair Care headquarters in LA

Henkel has opened a new headquarters in LA. The site will house both an open-space style work environment and the Henkel Academy of Hair, a multi-brand test salon, color bar and digital trend lab.

The new 200-person facility will house all Henkel North America brands together under one roof. Henkel brands include Pravana, Schwarzkopf Professional and Sexy Hair. The space will also be used for photo/video shoots and live broadcasts of demonstrations and training.

Stefan Mund, Regional Head of Henkel Beauty Care Hair Professional North America said, “By bringing together operations, we will further strengthen our footprint in the U.S. as well as our overall Henkel culture, which is the catalyst for cross-company knowledge sharing and collaboration.”

This month Henkel also closed the acquisition of Zotos International Inc., the North American Hair Professional business belonging to Shiseido Company, Limited. The acquisition included Joico and Zotos Professional brands.

Mund said, "This is one of several opportunities that allow for increased innovation across our beauty care hair professional brands by maximize employee knowledge and best practices while maintaining what makes each unique."

He noted that while all the brands would be under one roof, they will maintain their separate identities.

All Henkel brand teams will migrate to the new LA headquarters by Q2 of 2018, with the Academy of Hair scheduled to open around the same time.

The new Henkel Beauty Care Hair Professional Headquarters is located at 5800 Bristol Parkway in Culver City, CA.
