Vancouver-based made-to-measure menswear retailer Indochino is gearing up to open its first Minnesota showroom on December 14.

The 2,909-square-foot space is set to open in the Mall of America, which is the largest mall in the United States.

"Mall of America is the grand stage for international retailers, so it's an honor to secure a premium space in this prestigious shopping center," said Drew Green, CEO of Indochino, in a news statement. "This is the perfect next location for our rapidly growing brand. It allows us to introduce hundreds of thousands of men to the value and benefits of made to measure apparel and Indochino's mission to elevate the way men shop."

At the showroom, customers are paired with a 'Style Guide' who takes measurements, assists with fabric selections and more, in order for customers to create and fully customize their suit, blazer, vest, pants and shirts.

The company announced an ambitious expansion plan for 2017 to double its store count to 17 locations by the end of the year and has, indeed, surpassed its goal. The Minnesota showroom will be Indochino’s ninth opening in 2017 as the company continues to expand across North America, and its nineteenth showroom since they began opening brick-and-mortar retail locations in 2015.

Earlier this year, Indochino opened a second location in New York, a location in Washington, DC, and at the King of Prussia Mall outside of Philadelphia. More recently and earlier this month, the menswear retailer opened shop in Seattle.

Indochino first launched in 2007 as an online retailer. The company finished 2016 with 54 percent year-over-year growth.
