Interior designer Kelly Wearstler refashions newly renovated Westfield Century City mall

Kelly Wearstler, one of the biggest names in global luxury lifestyle brands, and a world famous interior designer of many international hotels and homes, will add some California organic chic to all the public areas in the newly renovated Westfield Century City mall. The multi-million dollar renovation’s been going on for three years, and will kick off with a grand opening party on October 3, which will debut its luxurious new look.

Wearstler is best known for her own line of luxury furniture, bedding, home goods, lighting, wallpaper – even jewelry. For several years, she had her own fashion brand, but shuttered that in 2014. Wearstler has an eponymous store on L.A.'s Melrose Avenue, which sells all her wares - while her furniture and homeware also sell at Bergdorf Goodman.

In fact, Wearstler was Bergdorf’s pick to redesign their popular restaurant on the top floor. She’s probably best known for the interior designs of some of the chicest and most innovative hotels in recent years: the Four Seasons Anguilla, The Tides South Beach, The Viceroy Santa Monica and The Viceroy Miami, The Avalon Hotel in L.A. – as well as major residences around the world. Her own spectactular Hollywood Hills residence was purchased by Tom Ford two years ago - though the deal never actually went through.

Shoppers coming to the Westfield Century City mall after its big opening night will not only be delighted by all the new stores and newly refashioned stores – but also Wearstler’s chairs, benches, sculpture and lighting in all the common areas of the notably large mall. No doubt, most Angelenos won’t even recognize it.
