Ivanhoé Cambridge invests $60 million in Québec mall

Ivanhoé Cambridge announced on Tuesday an investment of $60 million to enhance the shopping experience at Quebec City shopping mall, Laurier Québec.
"This initiative is part of Ivanhoé Cambridge's strategy of investing in its shopping centres to maintain and strengthen their competitive positioning in their respective markets. This investment is all the more significant in one of Quebec City's most competitive hubs: Laurier Boulevard," explained Claude Sirois, President, Retail, Ivanhoé Cambridge, in a news statement.
The investment will go towards the complete revitalization of Laurier Québec's common areas and will include major renovations that will modernize the mall’s interior and enhance the centre's overall service offering.
Other enhancements that will improve the customer experience also includes the renovation and improvement of the property's parkade.
In 2015, Ivanhoé Cambridg announced an investment of $18 million to modernize Laurier Québec’s food court. This renovation has paid off with a sales increase of more than 14 percent.
