Mike Kelly, Executive Vice President of PVH, told the press, “We’re extremely excited to renew our partnership with Scott and develop our relationship with David. They both embody the spirit of the IZOD brand – as seasoned winners with a competitive spirit, and as energetic players who are poised for continued success. We look forward to working with both champions as they continue their careers and build upon their legacies.”

David Lingmerth took home the PGA Tour championship in 2015, while Scott Piercy has won the PGA Tour not once, but three times. Both players have signed on for multi-year partnerships which will have them wearing exclusively IZOD Golf apparel on the greens and on IZOD Golf’s digital and social channels. The duo will also aid in product design and development.

Piercy has repped the brand before, this announcement marks the decision to continue the partnership. This is Lingmerth's first time as a brand ambassador for IZOD. The two golf star's first appearance after this news was at the Sony Open in Hawaii that took place this past weekend.

IZOD rose to fame after pairing with Lacoste on Lacoste’s iconic alligator-logo polo from 1952-1993, with the label being called “Izod Lacoste”. When the two brands ended their licencing partnership in ’93, Lacoste was repositioned as a luxury lifestyle brand while IZOD catered to the department store bridge category.

The Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation, also home to the likes of Kenneth Cole, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, and Calvin Klein, purchased IZOD in 1995, and still runs the American brand today.
