Moores Clothing for Men, the Canadian suiting brand owned and operated by Men’s Wearhouse, announced Tuesday the seventh year of its partnership with the National Basketball Coaches Association (NBCA). As per the partnership, NBA coaches will wear Joseph Abboud custom suits for the 2015-2016 season.
NBCA coaches were fitted for custom suits during the annual NBA Coaches Summit on September 17 in Chicago. They selected from hundreds of fabric swatches, styles and silhouettes to create original suits.
"I am very humbled to be wearing Joseph Abboud Custom suits because I never thought I'd have a custom-made suit. They're comfortable, well-fitted and stylish. I feel confident coaching on the sidelines wearing them!" said Dwane Casey, Head Coach of the Toronto Raptors.
As part of the commitment to the partnership, Coach Casey will support Moores’ annual Canadians Suit Drive in July. Moores collects gently used men’s and women’s professional clothing items to give a fresh start to millions of people facing unemployment. In 2014, thanks to Casey’s support, Moores collected over 64,000 clothing garments for the disadvantaged. Coach Casey this year will personally donate clothing to the Moores location closest to him.
"Growing up, I never had the opportunity to have a suit, so being able to donate a few to the Canadian Suit Drive is very rewarding, knowing they would hopefully help someone get a job," said Coach Casey.
David Blatt of the Cleveland Cavaliers; Rick Carlisle of the Dallas Mavericks; Lionel Hollins of the Brooklyn Nets; Jason Kidd of the Milwaukee Bucks; and Frank Vogel of the Indiana Pacers joined Coach Casey and 14 additional coaches for the tailoring process.
