K-pop boy band BTS and Puma to launch first collection in US

K-pop boy band BTS and Puma have collaborated to re-imagine a collection of classic Puma sportswear and footwear that will launch in the US later this summer.

The Puma x BTS line includes a remix of Puma's Turin sneakers as well as sportswear basics. It is the first installment of the collaboration, with a second assortment set to drop this fall. Puma x BTS will launch first in Korea in March, followed by a global roll out in July.

The seven-member BTS has been working on brand collaborations and collections since they signed on with Puma in 2015. Puma recently announced BTS would be its newest global brand ambassadors, joining an impressive roster already featuring Rihanna, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd.  The band is currently featured in the latest Puma Sportstyle campaign, modeling Puma classics including the Puma Suede and T-7 Track Suits.

BTS were the first Korean artists to perform at the American Music Awards last year. Since that performance they have received increasing global recognition, and will build on their international fame with the high-profile sportswear collaboration.
