Kalish & Sons launches with Kickstarter campaign

Kalish & Sons, a new men’s lifestyle brand by world-renowned artist, Michael Kalish, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the launch of the brand. The campaign has a goal of $50,000 and will run through November 12.



Kalish is an artist and sculptor whose work has been featured in galleries and museums and has been purchased for the private collections of US Presidents, world leaders, musicians and athletes alike. As an artist, he wanted to see how he could apply creating something that appreciates in value to creating products, and came to the conclusion that products should gain character over time and tell a story.
 
The first Kalish & Sons products include a brown distressed chore coat, a navy blue wax canvas travel coat, a waxed canvas duffle in navy blue and grey, a hand thrown coffee mug, a hand poured musk scented candle and limited edition art prints. Users that contribute campaign pledges (money spent to contribute to the campaign) will be rewarded products from the collection.

Kalish chose to offer the products on Kickstarter so that every product could be handmade without any excess product or material. The campaign will end on November 12 and backers will receive their merchandise in February 2016.
