KarmaLoop and UpscaleHype founders launch Curateurs men’s site

Karmaloop founder Greg Selkoe and UpscaleHype co-founders Allen and Kyle Onyia announced on Thursday the launch of Curateurs, a new website devoted to exclusive men’s fashion items. Selkoe and the Onyia brothers partnered with Silicon Valley veterans Dr. Paul Judge and Cedric J. Rogers to develop the project.

 
The Curateurs team searches for the best cultural influencers and invites them to discuss style and product. The website then showcases photos and videos of the Curateur’s style looks and provides a community platform where users can discuss those looks, save favorites to style boards and buy them.
 
By showcasing fashion from style influencers and celebrities, Curateurs provide a unique opportunity to buy limited edition items straight out of personal closets and private collections.

"We want to provide our customers the coolest stuff on the planet," says co-founder, Greg Selkoe. "Paul and I began reaching out to our contacts in the influencer and celebrity community. The resending response was, 'yes, we want to share our lifestyle. We realized that there were billions of dollars worth of goods associated with these influencers. We knew we were onto something big!"
 
Selkoe founded Karmaloop in 2000 and grew the company to $100 million in annual sales. This year, the e-commerce website was acquired by Shiekh Shoes. Dr. Paul Judge has been a co-founder and executive at several technology companies including CipherTrust, Purewire, Barracuda, Pindrop and Luma. Allen and Kyle Onyia founded UpscaleHype, a high-end lifestyle online magazine that focuses on celebrity fashion, and Cedric J. Rogers is a 10-year Apple veteran. The newest member of the team, Steve Birkhold is a 30-year fashion industry veteran that served as CEO of Bebe and Lacoste.
 
The first 3 Curateurs for launch are designer Jeff Staple, A$AP Ferg and Grammy Award winner Ryan Leslie. Future Curateurs include The Chainsmokers, Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo, and rappers Raekwon, Nipsey Hussle and G-Eazy among others.
